Owen Barcala is an attorney at Brickley, Sears & Sorett, P.A. He earned a law degree from Boston University School of Law, a Master’s of Environmental Management from Duke University, and a bachelor’s of science in conservation biology from Arizona State University. In his third-year at law school, Owen studied international law and European Union law at Oxford University.
Owen has been a civil litigation attorney since 2012. His practice began as a general trial and appellate litigator across a wide-variety of matters, including contract disputes, privacy law, securities arbitration, fraud, estate law, and consumer protection. After several years of general litigation, Owen moved to a practice area involving his primary interests: energy and environmental law. Currently, Owen is part of a team that focuses on complex, high-value energy and environmental litigation, and consults utilities and energy providers on a wide-variety of legal and regulatory issues.
